Senior Congress leader V Hanumanth Rao is proving to be the biggest party pooper for the party these day. Whenever he opens his mouth, he rakes up a controversy. If he attends a meet,he is sure to cause a furore. Remember his comments on Revanth Reddy post Huzurabad debacle of the Congress Party? Recently, he caused another controversy by asking a senior party man to bring a chair for him at a dharna and this led to a huge fight between the two.

On Tuesday, he attended a meeting of the party at the Gandhi Bhavan. Party senior observer and member of the party's inner core - Ghulam Nabi Azad – was also present. Even as the meeting began, VH started making an issue of not being served an invite for the meet. Another senior hand and former minister Shabbir Ali tried to intervene. This led to a wordy duel between the two senior leaders even as the party leaders, including Ghulam Nabi watched in horror. Finally, the ordeal ended when VH walked out in a huff.

Meanwhile, the meeting, was also marred by sloganeering by the supporters of the PCC chief post aspirants. Supporters of Komatireddy Venkat Reddy gathered in large number and shouted slogans demanding that he be made the PCC chief. A thoroughly bewildered Ghulam Nabi Azad sat through silently watching the strange spectacle.
