Vijay Mallya made an appearance at the Champions Trophy match between India & Pakistan in UK on Sunday. If that's not enough, The Liquor Baron even attended the charity dinner hosted by Indian Skipper Virat Kohli.
A BCCI Official says, Neither Kohli nor his Foundation invited Vijay Mallya for the Charity event. Anybody who books the table have the luxury of inviting whoever they wants and that's what happened here.
Understandably, Team India tried it's best to avoid Vijay Mallya. The Cricketers looked uncomfortable and concluded the event a bit early to prevent any controversy.
Indian Government sought extradition of Mallya from UK after loan default of Rs 9,000 crore. He might be deported to India by the end of 2017.
