Not Opponents, Injuries Troubling Team India!

Team India Cricketers have been getting injured one after the other during the ongoing World Cup. Already, Opener Shikhar Dhawan was ruled out of World Cup with thumb injury and Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar would be missing three matches due to hamstring injury. And now, It's the turn of All-Rounder Vijay Shankar to get injured.

During the training session on Wednesday, A Yorker bowled by Pacer Jasprit Bumrah struck the toe of Vijay Shankar and made him feel the pain. He had to skip the practice session on Thursday because of this injury. The All-Rounder was seen limping slighting while walking Today. He even stopped jogging mid-way due to the discomfort and performed few basic stretches.

A source close to the Team India says, Vijay Shankar was feeling much better by the evening. Let's hope there is nothing to worry.

Vijay Shankar mayn't be playing the upcoming league match against Afghanistan. He could be fit when India plays England next Sunday. Wicketkeeper Batsman Rishabh Pant is likely to replace Vijay Shankar in the Playing XI for the next couple of matches.
