Vijayawada to have a City Square

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is really trying to turn Vijayawada and Amaravati into Global cities. After taking several measures to built a Worldclass Capital, He now plans a City Square in Vijayawada.

A Chinese Firm was assigned the contract to built the City Square at the Swarajya Maidan in Vijayawada under Public-Private Partnership. The project estimated to cost Rs 135 crore will come up on a 5-acre land.

CBN officially announced, 'Vijayawada will have a new City Square that will be built by Guizhou International Investment Corporation of China'.

AP Government approved the design of City Square and even some of the pictures were released. The aim is to make it a major tourist attraction in the state. A Stupa depicting the rich heritage of the region will come up in City Square.
