Vijender stuns Chinese Boxer, wins 9th Title!

Indian boxer Vijender Singh won WBO Oriental Super Middleweight title by defeating China's Zulpikar Maimaitiali in a bloody fight which lasted till Round 10. This is his 9th title in his glorious career.

By the end of Round 9, Mr.Singh was on his knees following a blow he received on the mid-rift. At one point, It appeared like only Zulpikar Maimaitiali could win the battle. However, The Indian Boxer managed to survive till the end. Finally, Judges favoured Vijender Singh with the scores 96-93, 95-94 & 95-94.

Coach of Vijender Singh said Zulpikar Maimaitiali is the toughest opponent the 31-Year-Old faced in his career. The 23-Year-Old Chinese Boxer fought back even after receiving few blows on the chin in the first 5 rounds.

Post the match, Vijender Singh offered to sacrifice the title to Zulpikar Maimaitiali for peace with China. He opined restoring peace at the India-China border is most important.
