Virat Kohli Attacks Media After Series Loss

Indian Skipper Virat Kohli didn't hesitate to take on media persons after the series defeat against South Africa. When scribes quizzed about the best possible Playing XI, He shot back: 'What is the best XI? Had if we won this, Will it be the Best XI? We don't decide Best XI based on results. You (Media) tell Me that I could have played the best XI. Now, You tell Me what's the best XI and we will play that'.

Preferring Rohit Sharma over Rahane who have a better Overseas record & Dropping Bhuvaneswar Kumar after impressive performance in First Test was criticized. Even replacing Dhawan with KL Rahul is debated. Whereas Kohli believes whoever might be in Playing XI, They are good enough to win matches and the results will follow with collective effort. He recalls losing matches in the past despite playing with teams which looked really strong.

When asked did changing Playing XI often lead to loses, Kohli quickly questioned, 'How many Test Matches had we won out of 34? 20 wins, 2 losses and how many draws? Does it matter? We try to give our best wherever we play. I am not here to fight with you but answer your queries'.

Kohli still believes this Indian side is the best in the World despite two straight defeats on foreign soil. 'If we don't believe we can win series here, What's the point of coming here? How many times did South Africa come into the game in India?,' he asked.
