Indian skipper Virat Kohli who has been finding himself in the middle of one or the other controversies has landed on one more controversy, as per the media reports.
It is already known that Virat Kohli and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly endorsed the Mobile Premier League(MPL) for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League(IPL). The issues pushed him to the receiving end and he was even served notice by a court.
Making the MPL controversy even bigger, media reports claimed that Virat Kohli has a 0.051 percent stake in Galactus Funware Technology Private Limited company, owner of the MPL platform.
It has to be noted that on th 17th of November last year, MPL Sports was announced as the official kit sponsors for team India for a period of three years by the BCCI. The three-year agreement came into effect with the much-anticipated India's tour of Australia.
The alleged controversy has put the Indian skipper Virat Kohli under 'Conflict of Interest' Scanner for reportedly having a stake in the Gaming Platform which is sponsoring the Team India Kits.
The much-talked-about 'Conflict of Interest' issue surfaced in 2020 when Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association life member Sanjeev Gupta Gupta found fault with Kohli's business ventures and termed them, as possible conflicts.
