Virat Kohli Breaks Many Records With His Double Ton

Virat Kohli ran for two runs while batting on 198 to reach his seventh double-ton. Not only did he reach 7000 runs but also became the Indian batsman with most double hundreds in history.

On the all-time list of most double tons by a player, Kohli's 200 puts him to join at the fourth position, along with Jayawardane of Sri Lanka and Wally Hammond of England.

DG Bradman of Australia in the first position with 12 double ton.

KC Sangakkara of Sri Lanka in the second position with 11 double ton.

BC Lara of West Indies in the third position with 9 double ton.

Jayawardane of Sri Lanka, Wally Hammond of England, Virat Kohli of India with 7 double ton in the fourth position.

Earlier at the start of the test, Kohli became just the second Indian captain to lead India in 50 Test matches. MS Dhoni is the only other player who has completed this milestone. Dhoni captained the side 60 times between 2008-14, while Sourav Ganguly is third on the list.
