The novel coronavirus originated from the Wuhan Province left its deadly impact on Andhra Pradesh as two districts with zero positive cases also witnessed positive cases of the virus making all the districts with COVID-19 cases which is quite scary.
The two districts Srikakulam and Vizianagaram which managed to report zero positive cases till the last few weeks failed to continue to do so. Vizianagaram reported its first-ever COVID-19 death.
Going into details, an old woman who hails from Balijipeta went to Visakhapatnam for treatment who is suffering from Kidney related issues. It is believed that she was infected with the fatal virus in Vizag.
The old lady who was admitted to VIMS reportedly lost her life at the hospital battling the dreaded virus. As of now, four positive cases were reported in the district.
Talking about the positive cases the count of the cases in the state stood at 1930 with 43 fresh cases reported in the past 24 hours. To date, 887 people were discharged from the hospitals which take the toll of the active cases to 999, while 44 members succumbed to the virus.
