Is TDP Becoming An Orphan In Telangana?

Update: 2020-12-04 15:09 GMT
After Telangana's State Election Commissioner C. Partha Sarathi announced the election schedule for the GHMC elections, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) announced that it will contest in the divisions it has a stronghold.

However, TDP's interest was restricted to candidate announcement only. Unlike, other parties, TDP failed miserably in campaign activities itself. No big leader has campaigned for the party.

The poor campaign resulted in TDP failing to win at least deposits in the elections. Out of 150 divisions, TDP didn't even win at least one seat. Forget about winning, the party didn't even give competition to other parties.

Surprisingly, Congress has won two divisions, where TDP couldn't even attract the voters. The party lost the divisions in the areas which have Andhra population.

Things went upside down with one election. In the previous elections, TDP stood at the third position. Coming to this election, the party can be seen nowhere in the picture.

The analysts opined that with the back to back losses in Dubbak and GHMC elections, the TDP received a message that the voters are not seeing it as an alternative and it will be left as an orphan.
