AP & Telangana RTCs clash gets muskier

Update: 2016-03-10 06:53 GMT
All isn't well between the APRTC and TSRTC since the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. In the past few months, The situation has turned ugly with both the RTCs trying to impose restrictions.

Bus Depots of Miryalaguda, Kodada and Mallepalli restricted the AP Buses to one platform. TSRTC appointing staff to prevent AP Buses from entering other Platforms, except the one platform allotted to it, and this situation led to frequent clashes. Even Telangana Buses were restricted to one platform in Vijayawada Bus Station, though there are 80 platforms in the complex.

With no choice left, Most of the RTC Buses which were operated between AP & Telangana have been taking shelter under the trees due to lack of sufficient platforms. These unhealthy developments are affecting the revenues of RTCs in respective states. Hopefully, CMs of Telugu States resolve the issue in an amicable manner very soon.
