War with China? Offer us Rs 20000 crore in excess!

Defence Ministry sought immediate allocation of Rs 20,000 crore for preparedness for war with China citing military modernization & day-to-day expences.

As much as Rs 2.74 lakh crore was allocated for Defence Ministry in the 2017-18 budget. In addition, Rs 20,000 crore allocation has been sought now to address the challenges effectively. Ministry of Defence informed Centre that as much as 50% of the Capital and 41% of the Revenue Outlays in the defense budget had been utilized in the current financial year.

Chinese Government & it's Media have been issuing serious warnings to India over Doklam standoff. A Media House in China reported that Indian will have to blame itself if it doesn't withdraw its soldiers from Doklam. Whereas, Finance Minister-cum-Defence Minister Arun Jaitley maintained Indian Armed Forces are strong enough to handle any challenges.
