The ruling TRS is quite alarmed as the elections are approaching for the Warangal Municipal Corporation. The two biggest worries for the party are - leaks from the corporators to the BjP and the non-performance of several corporators. All these are weakening the party in Warangal and might reflect when the elections are held.
Recently, the local MLAs of the TRS held a secret meeting in one of the government offices in Warangal city where the MLAs gave an earful to the non-performing corporators. They were told to buck up and begin touring their divisions. They were told to re-establish a connect with the voters. A large number of the TRS corporators have not visited their divisions in years. They have not held meetings with the party workers in months. As a result, there is a pent up anger against them among the voters.
