Was Chandrababu planning exit from assembly for quite sometime?

Was Chandrababu Naidu planning for a long time to stop attending the assembly? Was he looking for a pretext? Did he get the right reason to do so with the incidents of November 19? Insiders say that Chandrababu had lost all interest in the proceedings of the house and was waiting for an opportunity to bid good bye to the assembly.

TDP insiders say that Chandrababu was finding it difficult to get along in the assembly. He has just 23 MLAs , of whom four have already crossed over. Among the remaining 19,  at least a quarter were skipping the proceedings. So he is increasingly finding himself completely outnumbered. On the other hand, the YSRCP MLAs are turning up in full strength.

He is also increasingly finding that the YSRCP is unrelenting and unforgiving inside the house. They are attacking the TDP mercilessly. Sources say that had Lokesh been elected, he would have asked him to hold the fort while he boycotted the proceedings. But, Lokesh was badly mauled at Mangalagiri. So, attending the house became an inevitability for Chandrababu.

Sources say that Chandrababu was looking for an alibi to skip the assembly. Leaders like NTR, Jayalalitha had similarly left the house in a huff and then returned as chief ministers. Even Jagan left the assembly with an year to spare and plunged into the now-historic yatra. Will Chandrababu too take up the yatra and go round the state? Let’s wait and see how he plans his future course of action.
