Assassination attempt on star cricketer

Former cricketer and Pakistn captain Wasim Akram escaped unhurt after he was attacked by two unknown gunmen in Karachi today. As per reports two unidentified gunmen opened fire at former pace legend but luckily he survived the assassination attempt.

The 49-year-old fast-bowler was on his way to the National Stadium to attend a bowling camp. A vehicle rammed into his car and two people opened fire on the former crickter.

The bullet hit Akram's car's tyres but the bowler remained safe. Akram  have noted down the vehicle's number and given it to the police .The motive behind the attack was unclear and police started investigation on the matter. Akram recently took up a bowling assignment with the Pakistan Cricket Board.
