Indian speedster Mohammed Shami has been ruled out of playing the World Cup Match against United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to Knee Strain. Either Bhuvaneshwar Kumar or Stuart Binny will be replacing Shami for the 3rd Match India plays in the tourney.
Shami had a problem with his left knee. As a precautionary measure, He was asked to take rest and given an ultrasound guided injection.
Indian Team Management is yet to clarify if Mohammed Shami will be part of the playing elevan in the game against West Indies in Perth on March 6th.
Shami is the most productive bowler for India so far. He took 4 wickets for 35 against Pakistan and 2 wickets for 30 against South Africa.
