Nepal which has planned to conduct a census in Indian areas of Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura, has faced a super jolt from the locals of these three areas.
According to some media reports, the National Planning Commission of Nepal carried out a door-to-survey. However, the locals shocked the authorities and told them that they are the citizens of India.
Talking further, the locals told the media that at any cost, they will not take part in the census exercise carried out by the Nepalese government.
If we have to take anything from the media reports, the anti-India elements are extending their support to the census. They have even prepared a questionnaire also for the census exercise.
Responding to the census exercise, the Pithoragarh district administration with a strong tone said that they will not let the exercise happen and the authorities conducting the exercise will also be not allowed to enter these areas.
Nepal which claimed the Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura areas as its territory, endorsed a Constitutional Amendment Bill to release a new political map that claims Indian areas of Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura as its regions.
