We Are Firm On The Decision For The Decentralisation Of Development: Jagan

Update: 2020-09-10 07:30 GMT
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in his recent interview to a leading national daily spoke his heart out on the government's decision to have three capitals

Jagan said they proposed the bill to have three capitals with an intention to decentralize development rather than focusing on just a single city.

He mentioned the example of Chennai and Hyderabad and said in these two instances, special focus was given to the cities and end of the day Andhra People are the ones who got affected and the government is taking steps to see that no such instances take place again.

Jagan alleged that former CM Chandrababu Naidu did real estate business in the Amaravati region and that's why he has been battling for the region since the past one and half year

Jagan maintained that even the Sivaramakrishnan Committee that was constituted by the Centre opined that capital duties can be distributed for various regions in the state and their capitals idea proves the same.

Jagan went on to say that, he has no interest in entering the national politics and their party is extending support to the BJP for selected issues and they are hoping that one day Centre will grant special status for the state.
