We are watching Flipkart : Minister

After receiving “many complaints” from traders on Flipkart’s massive discount sale, the government said it will look into the concerns of small and middle range vendors. Government preparing its plan of action to set up guidelines for E-commerce retail business.

India's largest E-Commerce retailer Flipkart promised its customers of bumper discounts on October 6. But, its customers complained of prices being hiked before the offered discount, lack of stock which lead to many cancellations and website outages in addition to some inconvenient cancellation rules. Considering these facts today central minister Nirmala Sitharaman said "We have received many inputs regarding Flipkart episode. Lot of concern have been expressed and we will look into it".


As per media reports manfacturars also considering pulling warranty from some of its products which could act a big deterrent for consumers to make online purchases in order to save retailers job.
