Were Delhi Riots Timed To Coincide With Trump's visit?

Were the Delhi riots timed to coincide with US President Donald Trump's visit? It appears so because there has not even been one incident of violence during the 70-day Shaheenbagh protests. Also, there were no violent incidents in the anti-CAA protests in places like Aligarh Muslim University, Jamila Millia Islamia or Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Urdu University. Whatever violence was there was in the initial four or five days in UP and parts of Delhi.

The master brains behind the CAA movement felt that the communal riots and violence should be instigated to coincide with Trump's India visit. This way, they will overshadow the high profile visit, which will send positive vibes for Modi and India. The violence will tarnish the image of India and questions could be raised about the communal tensions. If analysts are to be believed, there was a possibility that the Human Rights organisations across the world could rake up this issue and make Trump talk about this.

But, their plan appears to have failed as Trump did not even bother to talk about them and India too has strongly indicated that these were India's internal matter. So, this was a clear disappointment for those who timed the riots to coincide with Trump's visit.
