Ever since KCR has said that he alone would remain the chief minister for another ten years in Telangana, there has been deafening silence from his son KTR. The stunning announcement came at a time when one believed that everything was set for KTR's anointment. The party was hoping that that KCR would make a formal announcement of KTR as the CM.
But, it was an unexpected anti-climax of sorts when instead of anointing KTR, KCR had clearly said that he alone would be the CM and that anyone talking of a regime change would be dealt with severely. This was a huge disappointment for KTR. The media reported that KTR was sullen and serious when he left the venue of the meeting. Ever since, there has been no statement from him either supporting or opposing KCR's decision. He largely kept to himself. Even his sister Kavitha too did not issue any statement.
However, despite not making any comments on father's statements, KTR is busy touring and traveling in the rural interiors. On Monday, he participated in several programmes in North Telangana and disbursed largesse to the beneficiaries.
