On one hand, we have former CM and former PM throwing all lockdown rules to winds in the name of son or grandson's wedding. They make a big splash and invite guests in utter disregard for lockdown and quarantine rules. On the other hand, we have examples like young police officer, who postponed her wedding only because she did not want any distraction from the work she is doing during the Corona lockdown.
The police officer MJ Pruthvi, is the DSP of Malavalli sub-division and is working in her area to contain the spread of Covid. She was to marry Dyamappa Airani, an IRS officer on May 5 in Dharwad. A day before, wedding reception was to held at the same place. Another reception was planned at Mysuru on May 10. But, her region has of late seen a spurt in the Corona positive cases. Pruthvi and her would-be have decided to postpone their wedding as even the simplest of the weddings would mean at least 100 guests. The couple did not want to give any opportunity for the community spread of Covid 19. So, they will marry only after the Covid scare subsides.
Now everyone is praising Pruthvi's decision. Mysuru MP Sumalatha Ambareesh has congratulated her and said that it was a matter of pride to have such an officer in her area. Don't you think the Deve Gowdas have a lesson to learn from this young officer?
