What's in there in FIR filed by Andhra Pradesh CID against Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju?
YSRCP Rebel MP Raghurama Krishna Raju aka RRR, who represents the Narsapuram constituency was arrested by the sleuths of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Andhra Pradesh on Friday afternoon.
After arresting him at his residence in Hyderabad, the CID sleuths shifted him to the Guntur office on the same day. He was reportedly grilled by the sleuths there.
In the FIR, the CID sleuths said that the department has information that the MP is creating tension within certain communities by indulging in hate speech and said a preliminary inquiry in this regard has been ordered.
On the grounds of attempting to excite disaffection towards the Government, CID sleuths booked a non-bailable case against the MP under section 124 (A), 153 (B), 505, and 120 (B) (Criminal conspiracy) of IPC.
The CID sleuths named RRR as A1 in the FIR and a few leading Telugu channels as A2 and A3. The CID sleuths accused the channels of creating special slots for programs, where RRR made indecent comments against the government.
On the other hand, RRR family members alleged that the MP was arrested without any proper notice and procedure. The High Court will hear a House Motion Petition filed against the MP's arrest today.
