What public thinks on impact of Sharmila's political party in Telangana politics?

YS Sharmila, sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has sent shocking waves across the Telugu states by chairing a meeting with the supporters of her father, late YSR from the united Nalgonda district earlier this week.

Adding fuel to the reports of her political entry, Sharmila said that Telangana needs Rajanna Rajyam. There is a political vacuum in the state and there is a need to fill that.

However, she said, she will take a final call on whether to take forward the Telangana wing of YSRCP forward or start a new political party after taking the opinion of the YSR's supporters.

To know the public pulse on what impact will the possible political party of YS Sharmila will have in Telangana politics, a survey has been conducted with 4035 respondents.

Out of the total respondents, 63.27 respondents, which translates to 2553 respondents have said that Sharmila's party will don't have any impact on state politics.

However, 30.26 percent of the respondents opined that Sharmila's new party would have an impact on Telangana politics. 6.47 percent of respondents have opined that they can't say anything about this.

YS Sharmila played a key role in holding the YSRCP cadre when YS Jagan Mogan Reddy was serving a jail sentence in connection with a disproportionate assets case against him.

She was the star campaigner for YSRCP before the 2019 elections. Earlier too, Sharmila held Odarpu Yatra to meet the bereaved families after the demise of her father, YS Rajashekar Reddy.
