What the AP Government wants To Do With Amaravati?

Update: 2022-09-09 11:36 GMT
What the Andhra Pradesh government wants to do with the Amaravati region is the big question many have. The Amaravati farmers are in plans for a massive yatra which will be started in a few days. The farmers moved the High Court to get permission for the yatra which will be started from Amaravati.

Now it is said that the Andhra Pradesh government reportedly brought a new proposal to make the Amaravati region a Municipality with 22 Panchayats that come under the region. It is said that the people in the villages are not happy with the decision taken by the government.

Earlier too the government tried to implement the idea. However, the government took a backstep after the villagers strongly opposed the idea. The villagers came to a strong opinion that the idea should not be implemented.

Now the proposal is in the news after the state government reportedly brought the proposal back at the time when the Amaravati farmers are focusing on carrying out a yatra. Reports say that the concerned Commissioner of Panchayati raj Department issued directives reportedly.

Under the directives, the concerned authorities are expected to hold meetings in the concerned Panchayats in the region. The secretaries of the region are busy making arrangements to hold the meetings. They might visit the villages and hold meetings.

The farmers who are angry at the government are expressing their dissatisfaction over this and alleging that the government is against the Amaravati region and that's why the government is bringing such proposals.
