Facebook Data Leak scam has created a sensation across the globe and the tremors are felt even now.   Facebook is receiving shocks one by one ever since Data Analytica scandal broke out.  When discussions are going on regarding misuse of data.. selling of data, WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum announced that he is quitting the company.  Facebook acquired WhatsApp for a huge price a few years ago.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp CEO has not revealed the reason behind his resignation, the recent developments indicate the data security issues may be the reason.  It is to be remembered that WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton also resigned from the company a few months ago.

Jan Koum recently revealed through his Facebook page that his journey with the parent company Facebook came to an end.  He said that the journey he started with a few persons had been wonderful and it is time come out.  Facebook didn't respond to the resignation of Jan Koum.  But Mark Zuckerberg reacted to the Jan Koum post.  He said that he misses working with him.

Koum resignation has created ripples in the WhatsApp.  Giving strength to this argument, Mark Zuckerberg met 5000 app software developers of WhatsApp and some WhatsApp users.  On the other hand, there are reports that Koum is also planning to quit from the board of directors of Facebook.

Media reports say that Jan Koum resigned because of the differences with the parent company Facebook over the finalising WhatsApp future strategy.  Koum is reportedly worried that Facebook is using the personal data of WhatsApp users.. and it will weaken the WhatsApp encryption.
