He may be the quintessential Dora and may be inaccessible to the people. But, Telangana Chief Minister KCR worked as a driver for eight days. Unbelievable but true. KCR drove the car for Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swami for all of the eight days. He sat through the speeches that the Jeeyar gave and heard them with great devotion.
This was revealed by none other than KCR himself. Speaking at the birthday celebrations of Chinna Jeeyar at the Divya Saketam headquarters of the seer, KCR said that years ago, the Jeeyar stayed at his home for several days when he came to Siddipet to consecrate a temple. During that period, KCR himself turned driver for the seer. Walking down the memory late, he talked about his long association with the Jeeyar. During his speech, the Chinna Jeeyar said the chief minister was a Bakkodu (lean and thin) but was a Gattodu (a tough man). When he alluded to Chief Minister's leanness, there were peels of laughter in the hall.
KCR said that he has always followed Vaishnava traditions all through his life and added that he would attend the consecration of the largest idol of Ramanuja at the Divya Saketam as an ordinary devotee and not as a chief minister.
