Who Attacked This BJP Candidate

Update: 2019-11-26 04:54 GMT
Despite the drama in Maharashtra over who will get to form the government, things are quite peaceful. The leaders are behaving in a civic manner. Even as late as Monday, NCP MLAs openly met deputy CM Ajit Pawar and there was no ruckus at all. Despite the deep fissures, the leaders are peaceful and composed.

But, in West Bengal there is political violence again. The bypoll in Karimpur showed that the ruling TMC can go to any extent to retain power. The TMC workers had attacked BJP candidate for Karimpur  bypoll when he went to inspect the polling trends in a polling booth. The TMC workers pushed him into the bushes and did not allow him to enter into the booth.  The incident occurred in Pipulkhola village, where BJP candidate Jayaprakash Mazumdar was manhandled. The TV footage shows that the BJP candidate was kicked, beaten and pushed  into the bushes. Mazumdar went to the booth after allegations were rigging were reported.

However, as is its wont, the TMC activists denied that they hand any hand in the attack. Tehy said the villagers themselves had attacked Mazumdar. The bypolls are being held to the constituencies which fell vacant due to the death of the sitting MLAs.
