Who delayed Kohli's Captaincy by 3 Years?

Former National Selector Raja Venkat revealed Virat Kohli could have become the captain of Indian Team 3  years ago had if then BCCI President Srinivasan didn't object.

Mr.Venkat revealed India Team which toured Australia in 2011-12 was divided into several groups and selectors preferred Kohli as captain for the ODI Series after were trailing 0-3 in the 4-Test Match Series. "Selectors Mohinder Amarnath and Narendra Hirwani came to know about factions in Team India. Then, Kohli who is someone above factionalism was chosen to restore the team spirit. You can't announce an overseas team without the BCCI president's approval. Srinivasan didn't give us the nod to change the captain," he wrote in a column for Bengali tabloid.

The 56-Year-Old expressed happiness over the selection of Virat Kohli as the skipper of Test Team. He feels the right-handed batsman is a capable skipper and can take Team India to new heights.

Dhoni quit as Test Captain during Australia tour in December 2014. BCCI then appointed Virat Kohli as the new skipper to lead the team.
