World Is At A Critical Juncture, Some Countries On Dangerous Track In Pandemic: WHO Chief
Amid the global fight to combat, the ongoing pandemic Covid-19 originated from Wuhan province of China, WHO has shed light on the harsh reality of the virus spread.
World Health Organization(WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in his press briefing at headquarters in Geneva called the current situation a critical juncture.
Talking further, he opined that some countries in the Northern hemisphere are on a dangerous track and the coming few months are going to be extremely tough.
He appealed to the leaders to act immediately so that the casualties can be restricted. The chief also batted for increasing the essential health services to fight the virus.
Increasing pandemic tests, tracing the contacts who were infected with the virus, and isolating them is the key to combating the dreaded virus. By doing this, mandatory lockdowns can be avoided, he said.
