Is all not well in the BJP in Telangana? It appears so. Discontent is said to be brewing in the Telangana BJP over the way in which state president Bandi Sanjay is handling things. Many leaders, who remained loyal to the party all these years, are said to be expressing unhappiness at the way the party state leadership is working.
Many BJP loyalists are upset that they have been completely bypassed in Munugode bypoll. Sources say that the campaign is being solely handled by Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy. He has his men appointed at all levels leaving practically nothing for the BJP workers. They say that the same thing happened in case of the Huzurabad bypolls. It was an Eatala Rajender show all the way.
To add to this, recently, party affairs incharge Sunil Bansal has said that those working as constituency incharges would not be given party tickets in 2023. This one single statement has done maximum damage to the BJP in Telangana. Though Bandi Sanjay tried to mollify the party workers, things have not changed and the discontent is still brewing in the party.
If reports are to be believed, several BJP leaders are already in touch with TPCC chief Revanth Reddy. Some say that some leaders have already called up Revanth Reddy. If Bandi Sanjay does not wake up, the party is likely to lose several loyal party workers, say BJP watchers in Telangana. They also say that this could even affect the BJP prospects in Munugode bypolls.
