Why Can't Rations Be Delivered At Home, When Pizza And Burger Are Delivered?
Aam Aadmi Party supremo, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had once again targeted the union government for allegedly trying to block the scheme of doorstep delivery of ration.
The Chief Minister alleged that, while the doorstep ration scheme was supposed to be strat in two days, the centre had stopped it. The Centre took this step under the influence" of the ration mafia, he said.
Mr. Kejriwal held a press conference on Sunday. During the digital meet, the Chief Minister came down severely on the Prime Minister. He targeted the Centre for causing problems for their doorstep ration scheme.
He asked, why the ration goods cannot be supplied doorsteps when pizza, burgers, smartphones, and clothes can be delivered.
"For the first time, a government had taken a step to check on ration mafia. See how powerful they (ration mafia) are, they got the scheme cancelled just a week ahead of its implementation," Mr. Kejriwal said.
"People are distressed that the central government is fighting everyone. If we fight like this, how will we tackle COVID-19. Let me implement the scheme, I will give full credit to you (Prime Minister Narendra Modi). Ration does not belong to AAP nor the BJP. People want to read that Modiji and Kejriwal helped deliver ration to poor. With folded hands, I on behalf of 70 lakh poor people in Delhi request you to let us implement the scheme," he added.
The BJP and AAP have been at loggerheads since July last year over the doorstep ration delivery to the beneficiaries. Both the parties are facing tussles over the scheme since then.
