There have been many rumours about nephew T Harish Rao has been sidelined in the TRS. There have also been talks about a sulking Harish Rao trying to stage a revolt against Mama KCR. But, when the crunch time comes, Harish Rao is KCR's to-go man. That KCR trusts Harish Rao's understanding of politics and his assessment most was amply in display on Wednesday when KCR held seven-and-a-half-hour long meeting on the all-important issue of early polls in Telangana.
Little after his lunch, KCR began the marathon meeting with the party's senior leaders to discuss early polls. But, before that, KCR had a one-on-one meeting with Harish Rao. No one else was allowed. All the waiting ministers were asked to go away and even aides and personal attendents were asked to keep off. KCR and Harish met alone and discussed for over a half hour about the current political scenario. While what transpired in their meeting is a top secret and there is no third person involved, it is clear that the discussion focused on early polls. Interestingly, KTR was nowhere in the picture.
In fact, KCR reportedly considers Harish as his lucky omen and wants him to handle his campaign in Gajwel and Medak districts. Later, KCR had a long discussion with the TRS top leaders and discussed various issues pertaining to the early polls. He is likely to make a key announcement on Thursday. A massive public meeting would be organized at Kongara Kalan in Rangareddy district on September 2 to launch the poll campaign. The party is trying to bring at least 25 lakh people for the public meeting.
