Till a few days ago, CM KCR's nephew Harish Rao kept a low profile. Even during the Pragathi Nivedana Yatra, he was nowhere to be seen. Whenever TRS planned something big, he was either in Delhi or in Mumbai on official engagements.
But suddenly, Harish Rao is back in the limelight. He was there everywhere in the Husnabad meet on Friday. In fact, he managed the crowds, ensured a good turnout and made the meet a success. Sources within the party also say that Harish Rao is back in demand. Sources say that till now KCR wanted to make things easy for his son KTR. He was credited with GHMC election win. He was projected as the party's young face. He was there everywhere on social media. In fact, the management of Pragathi Nivedana Sabha was given to him. The idea was to project him as the next CM. But, the meet failed miserably leaving KCR shocked and dazed. So, he reportedly called for Harish immediately and asked him to take control of several things. "Let bygones be bygones. You should take care of the campaign in several key districts," he is reported to have told Harish.
It is also being said in the TRS circles that KCR considers Harish his lucky omen. But, he had deliberately kept him confined to Siddipet and Gajwel as he wanted his son KTR to have a free run.
But, with the rally failing and the mood building slowly but surely against the ruling TRS, KCR felt that Harish alone can salvage things for him and the party.
