Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will tour the national capital of New Delhi on August 6 and 7. During this visit, he would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and on Wednesday, he would hold meetings with several union ministers on various issues of importance for the state of Andhra Pradesh. Sources say that Jagan will discuss about the pending issues that need to be set in rolling as part of the AP reorganisation Act.
YSRCP sources said that he is likely to take up the issue of sanctioning of funds under special development package for North Andhra and the seven districts in the Southern Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. During the meeting, he is also likely to raise the issue of setting up of a steel plant in the YSR district. He is also likely to explain the Prime Minister about the plans behind the transfer of Godavari water into the Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar dams.
The contentious issue of Polavaram project and the reverse tendering proposed by Jagan's government will also figure during the talks. Already several issues have been thrashed out at a key meeting of the state government on Sunday. Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath, Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam, CM's special advisor Ajeya Kallam and the higher officials of various key departments participated in the meet.
