Why has senior Congress leader and Nalgonda MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy skipped the key Party meet presided over by state party incharge Manickam Tagore? The meeting was meant to discuss about the party's strategy for the upcoming Nalgonda-Warangal-Khammam graduates Constituency.The absence of Komatireddy, who represents Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency is truly shocking.
Sources say Komatireddy had deliberately skipped the meeting.It is learnt that he is deeply upset with Manickam Tagore and has reportedly told the party colleagues that he would not any meeting where Tagore would be present.According to Komatireddy,Tagore is playing favourites in the selection of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief.
Komatireddy believes that it was Tagore who was responsible for not recommending his name to the party high command.He feels that he was favourably disposed towards Revanth Reddy and recommended his name alone.
Komatireddy's brother Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, who is an MLA from Nalgonda,is already keeping a safe distance from the party activities. Now, even Venkat Reddy joined him in staying aloof from the party.This will seriously dent the party's prospects in the soon-to-be-held elections in Nalgonda district.
