Since the renaming of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), the working president of the party and heir apparent KTR has suddenly gone silent. He has been keeping an unusually low profile. Except for stray press statements, KCR has been largely silent. This has been baffling the rank and file of the party.
After the renaming of the party on December 9, KTR has been largely low profile. He has not attended the inauguration of the Delhi office of the BRS. Interestingly, his sister Kavitha Kalwakuntla was present at the 'house warming' on December 14 while KTR preferred to stay in Hyderabad. He did not even bother to issue a statement.
Similarly, KTR again preferred to remain at his home on January 1. He did not bother to visit the Telangana Bhavan to celebrate the New Year's Day along with the party workers. On Monday, a large number of persons from Andhra Pradesh had joined the BRS and Thota Chandrasekhar was appointed the president of the AP unit of the BRS. This time too, KTR was conspicuous by his absence.
Despite the reports that KTR would be announced as the heir apparent in the party reshuffle, KTR is keeping to himself. On the other hand, minister Harish Rao has become quite active these days. The party cadres and key leaders are watching this development with lot of caution. The y are baffled at his strange silence.
