When does a politician invoke his caste? When he is in trouble and is afraid of losing his post!! Telagnana transport Minister Puvvada Ajay, who comes from a diehard caste-less Communist Party, and talked about Telangana interests all these years, suddenly remembered that he was a Kamma. The other day, he called for Kamma unity and said that he was being hounded by a section because he was a Kamma.
But the funniest part of these comments is that the minister is in trouble because of the allegations that he drove a BJP worker to end his life by foisting cases against him. The victim BJP worker too is from the Kamma community. The BJP worker, Saiganesh Chowdary, was facing several cases for criticising the minister on social media. The BJP has alleged that Saiganesh committed suicide due to the police harassment at the behest of the minister. They have demanded a CBI inquiry into the whole incident.
More shockingly for Puvvada Ajay, the High Court has asked him to respond on the issue within two weeks. A notice was served on him. A shocked Puvvada is now talking about being a Kamma forgetting that Saiganesh too was a Kamma. Interestingly, the minister called Saiganesh and his ilk as 'fake' Kammas.
The minister had made some comments about YSRCP leader and former minister Kodali Nani too.He said the rivals were after Kamma leaders and alleged that Kodali Nani, the only Kamma minister in the YSRCP government was removed. He said plans were afoot to remove him too from the ministership, Ajay Puvvada said.
