Why Is This Young Leader Inactive?

Update: 2021-03-05 03:08 GMT
Remember Kanhaiya Kumar? He was the Left-leaning rabble-rouser who talked of Azadi in the JNU as a student leader. He caught the imagination of the Delhi-based English media, which made him a hero. But where is he today?

Kanhaiya Kumar shot into fame with his anti-India and anti-BJP rants in the University on the occasion of the anniversary of hanging of terrorist Afzal Guru. Coming from CPI background, he was feted as the young face of the CPM. He has lost two elections in Bihar and is now quite inactive in politics. He has not even uploaded a tweet for the last one-and-a-half month. The CPI is said to be angry and upset with him and severely admonished him for showing an independent streak. The latest is that he has met Janata Dal leader and Bihar's education minister Ashok Chowdhury. Questions are being raised as to why should he meet JDU leader. There are rumours that he might leave the Communist party.

What an end to a promising Left-leaning youth leader. His own party is not happy with him. He is not happy with the party. In fact, he had called his own party, the Communist Party of India as 'Confusion Party of India' and got censured for it. No party is willing to take him into the organization because of his comments that sound 'anti-national.'
