Why Modi Was Absent From This Pic?

Update: 2021-02-01 04:15 GMT
A lot of speculation is on as to why Prime Minister Narendra Modi's is not seen in the pics released by the BJP to announce the firming up of the BJP-AIADMK alliance for Tamil Nadu elections. The photograph released for the media has Tamil Nadus CM E Palanisamy and O Paneerselvam. From BJP, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is present. But, Modi seems to be missing.

This has sent the rumour mills into a tizzy. Stories were spun about Narendra Modi being unhappy with the alliance. Some over zealous media scribes also wove a story saying that there were differences between MOdi and Shah and that Shah has kept Modi away from the formation of the alliance.

But, the BJP sought to put a lid on the whole controversy. It said that the talks were held in a room where the leaders of both the BjP and the AIADM were seated around a cabinet table, which was 14 feet long. Modi sat at one end of the table, while Palanisamy and Paneerselvam sat in the opposite end of the table. So, there was no way a photo could be taken to include the PM. Hence Modi went missing from the posters.
