Why None Of The Deputy CM Is Happy?

Update: 2018-09-24 10:40 GMT
Deputy CM, for all we know, is the second most powerful post in a state government. This may be true anywhere, but not in the two Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Interestingly, both the states have two deputy chief ministers each. Telangana has Kadiyam Srihari, as SC, and Mohammad Ali, a Mulsim as the  deputy chief ministers. Andhra Pradesh has KE Krishna Murthy, a veteran politician and a BC, and Nimmakayala China Rajappa, a Kapu and a TDP loyalist.

Interestingly, KE holds the revenue department, but has no say even in departmental transfers. He has nothing to do with the Amaravati capital area. Similarly, China Rajappa's name is heard only when there is some issue pertaining to Kapus. KE is thoroughly disillutioned by the way things are going in AP. In Telangana too, Kadiyam and Ali are rarely heard. All these four CMs are overshadowed by powerful CMs, who are also presidents of their respective parties. So, the deputy CMs have pretty much nothing to do.

The condition of the Telangana deputy CMs is worse. Both have not been given MLA tickets. Both are MLCs and their term ends in a couple of years. In the event of the party not coming to the government again, they will not be able to get renominated and fade into oblivion. Both tried to get the MLA ticket, but KCR did not consider them as they are MLCs.
