It's been almost 7 Years since Sachin Tendulkar scripted history by being the first cricketer in history to score a double century in One Day Internationals. He made 200 not out against South Africa in Gwalior and helped India win by a margin of 153 runs by posting a mammoth total of 401/3.
Sachin revealed why he could sleep after his historic ODI innings in Gwalior: 'Despite feeling very tired, I couldn't sleep because of all the excitement and was lying awake. Then, I check my phone which was flooded with congratulatory messages. I spent two hours giving reply to each one of those messages. Finally, The task was completed after two days.'
'The other reason why I couldn't sleep in the hotel room was the spacious suite room with a private swimming pool offered to me. I found the sound of the silk curtains fluttering in the breeze very uncomfortable. I kept the bathroom light on as it was pitch dark outside'.
After Sachin, Rohit Sharma, Virender Sehwag, Martin Guptill and Chris Gayle scored 200 runs in an ODI innings. Of course, Rohit has repeated the feat twice and he also holds the highest ODI score record.
