The tussle in the Punjab wing of Congress that went to a lot of twists and turns and ended with the then Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh stepping down from his position had once again become a topic and raised many eyebrows after a key member was dropped from a delegation.

It is known that a delegation is scheduled to visit the famous Kartarpur Sahib in the neighboring nation Pakistan. The delegation will visit the Kartarpur Sahib on Thursday. However, senior leader, Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu was not mentioned in the delegation as an indication of internal issues in the state Congress.

The new development comes in the wake of media reports on the alleged tussle in the state chief as things are said to be not good among the leaders and the political experts are showing this as an example of the crisis in the party. Leaving the state chief for such a crucial visit is not a small thing and says a lot, the experts say.

Rubbishing the reports that Sidhu will not visit Kartarpur Sahib, his media advisor Surendra Dalal addressed the media and said that Sidhu will pay a visit on November 20, two days after the delegation will visit the Kartarpur Sahib. He said that all the required papers were submitted by Sidhu but he was asked to visit the Sahib on the 20th.

The advisor added that he has no answer why the Punjab Congress Chief Sidhu was not permitted to visit the Kartarpur Sahib. He said, the answer for the same will be with the Punjab government and said, he cannot comment on the issue. Talking about the delegation, several MLAs and key officials are expected to be part of this while Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi will lead the team.
