When many-time MLA Thota Trimurthulu joined the YSRCP, many an eyebrow was raised in Ramachandrapuram constituency in East Godavari. His arch rival and sitting MLC Pilli Subhash Chandrabose too is already in the YSRCP. With both the arch foes in the same party, many expected a showdown of sorts.
However, YS Jagan deftly mr corporation anaged the contradiction. The Ramachandrapuram MLC seat was given to Chelluboyina Venu, who is also from Pill Subhash Bose's community. Venu had won the elections and has now gone on to become a minister. Pill Subhash has been made a Rajya Sabha MP and he will continue to play a key role in the party in times to come. Where does all this leave Thota Trimurthulu. Though he had joined the YSRCP, he was not given any plum post. Nor has he been given a corporation chief post.
Though openly he had said nothing and had in fact congratulated Venu on becoming a minister, Thota Trimurthulu and his supporters are said to be seething with discontent. They feel Thota too should be rewarded with some key post in the party or the government.
