In a shocking incident that exposed the lack of security to the VVIP officials, some miscreants operated drones to click images and take videos of the residences of senior IAS and IPS officers. The drones were also said to have been operated near the homes of several MLAs and MPs.
It came to light that three days ago, drone cameras were found to be moving over the residences of Andhra Pradesh DGP Gowtham Sawang's house in Banjara Hills. Similarly, drones were also seen shooting videos of the residence of Ravi Gupta, who is the additional DGP of Telangana. This led to lot of commotion and the police immediately swung into action. Based on a complaint filed by the wife of a senior IPS officer, the police began investigations.
The police found that a neighbour was actually operating the drones. The footage has been sent to the forensic lab. The police are now questioning the youth who operated the drone. They are also trying to unravel the reason for using the drones. The footage collected too is being examined.
