But, in West Bengal politician Soumitra Khan and his wife Sujata Mondal Khan have been in the BjP for years. But, on Monday, Sujata joined the Trinamool Congress in a huff. She said the BJP was not giving importance to sincere and loyal workers. She announced her joining the TMC. But the real drama started after her resignation. Many expected husband Soumitra to follow suit and leave the BJP.
But Soumitra said that there was no question of his joining the TMC. He said he would live and die in the BJP. Not just that, he said he would divorce his wife for many years as she has joined the TMC. He said he would soon send a divorce notice to his wife. However, Sujata said that politics and family were two different things and expressed the hope that her husband would join her in the TMC. The family drama is now playing to full house in West Bengal.
