Will BJP, Jana Sena part ways in 2024 elections?

Update: 2022-08-31 13:31 GMT
Is it all over between the BJP and the Jana Sena? At a time when there is a talk in a section of the Telugu and the national media that the TDP, BJP and the Jana Sena are likely to come together for the 2024 elections, the BJP is sending conflicting signals. BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao, who is the to-go man on AP affairs for the party, has said that the BJP will contest all the 175 seats in Andhra Pradesh in the 2024 elections.

If GVL is right, then there is not going to be an alliance with the TDP. After all, in any alliance, the TDP will hae to be the big brother and the BJP the junior partner. This means the BJP may contest anywhere between 25 and 30 seats at best and leave the rest to Jana Sena and the TDP. If it contests all the 175 seats, it only means that there is not going to be any electoral alliance.

More significantly, he said the BJP is going ahead with great clarity and sense of direction. He further refused to react to media reports that suggested that talks were on with the TDP for an alliance in both the states.  But this also brings up the key question. If the BJP contests all the 175 seats, what about the Jana Sena? Is there going to be no alliance or understanding with the Jana Sena in the 2024 elections?

It is now clear that the BJP is not looking at Jana Sena as an electoral partner for the 2024 elections. Is it an indication that the BJP has resigned to the possibility of the TDP and the Jana Sena coming together? Does it mean that the BJP will go it alone in the coming elections? If so, does the BJP have 175 candidates who are ready to fight the elections?
