The polling for the municipalities and the Municipal corporation of Nellore would be held o n November 15, the counting of the polled votes would be taken up on November 17. The polling for the MPTCs and the ZPTCS would be held on November 16 and the counting would be taken up on November 18.

There is a lot of interest on the Kuppam municipality. Kuppam is part of the Kuppam assembly constituency. This constituency has been returning former chief minister and the TDP chief with unfailing regularity since 1985. However, in the 2019 assembly elections, the victory margin has come down considerably for the TDP. As if this was not enough, the MPTC and panchayat elections have resulted in significant victories for the YSRCP. In fact in several mandals , the TDP has been wiped out. In view of this, the TDP is fighting a last ditch battle in Kuppam.

Chandrababu has already conducted a three-day tour of Kuppam constituency in the last week of September and followed it up by another 4-day tour of Kuppam municipality. He is trying to mobilize the party cadres and is trying arrest the fall of the TDP in the constituency.
