Will Chautala be a roadblock for KCR's national ambitions?

Update: 2022-09-11 04:22 GMT
It appears KCR's political journey at the national level could hit a roadblock soon. Even before he could set the tone for his politics at the national level, another regional party is organizing a national conclave of anti-Modi regional parties. The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) of former Haryana CM Om Prakash Chautala is organizing a meeting of regional parties in Haryana's Fatehabad on September 25.

While regional leaders like Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Nationalist Congress Party supremo Sharad Pawar have already been consulted, it is not known whether KCR would be invited to the proposed meeting. Om Prakash Chautala is organizing the meeting on the birth anniversary of his father Choudhury Devi Lal.

Significantly, this development would put a question mark on the efforts of Telangana CM KCR's attempts to cobble up a non-BJP alliance. He had already held discussions with several key leaders. At the same time, he is meeting former chief minister of Karnataka and Janata Dal Secular leader HD Kumaraswamy on Sunday at Hyderabad. The outcome of the meeting assumes significance in view of Om Prakash Chautala's meeting.

Will KCR become part of OP Chautala's efforts to achieve opposition unity or will he form another front? If he forms a separate front, then will it not affect the unity of the opposition? What will be KCR's next move at the national level? One may have to wait for some more time to know answers to these questions.
