Telangana Chief Minister KCR and his Andhra Pradesh counterpart YS Jagan Mohan Reddy share a good bonding and the duo openly shared their association on many occasions. On one occasion, YS Jagan said it is important to have friendly relations with KCR for the interests of the state.
Now KCR is focusing on entering national politics and he is meeting like-minded leaders. Since KCR started doing efforts in this regard. Jagan is missing from the show. KCR met the former Chief Minister of the neighboring state Karnataka. But he did not meet Jagan as part of his national politics. As Andhra Pradesh has 25 MP seats they would come in handy in taking on the mighty BJP.
There are many doubts about whether Jagan will support KCR on this massive journey or not. Clearing the airs on this, a Telangana Cabinet Minister reportedly said that Jagan is with KCR and the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister would stand along with KCR. If both states can fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party then the MP seats combined in both states can make some difference.
The Cabinet Minister hinted that both Chief Ministers will walk together in fighting the union government Bharatiya Janata Party. Compared to Telangana, Andhra Pradesh will benefit if the BJP is defeated as there is a chance of state interests getting addressed.
When the state was bifurcated, many promises were made towards the divided Andhra Pradesh, including special category status and other help. Sadly that did not happen. BJP many times made it clear that special category is an old issue and it cannot be granted.
Though the Cabinet Minister reportedly said Jagan and KCR might walk, the question is whether Jagan can take the risk of fighting the BJP. It is said that BJP reportedly played a part in Telugu Desam Partyâs 2019 defeat as the grand old party started questioning and targeting the saffron party.
Moreover, Jagan is maintaining friendly ties with BJP more than required. Whenever BJP tables and bills, YSRCP openly supports them. Keeping this in mind, we have to wait and see if Jagan will walk with KCR or not.
